Practical, informed perspectives on renewable energy finance, project finance, tax equity, and the investment structures shaping the energy transition.

Santosh Raikar brings a practitioner's perspective to conversations on renewable energy finance, combining deep investment experience with a strong understanding of infrastructure, capital formation, and the evolving energy market. As Managing Partner and Head of Renewables at Silverpeak, he has helped build and expand a renewable energy investment platform focused on the opportunities and challenges shaping the energy transition. His background spans project finance, private equity, structured finance, and tax equity, with experience across renewable energy, power generation, and broader energy infrastructure. Earlier in his career, he held senior investment roles at State Street, Deutsche Bank, and Lehman Brothers. He is also co-author of Renewable Energy Finance: Theory and Practice, Second Edition, a practitioner-focused guide for professionals working across energy, finance, law, and policy.

In addition to his industry work, Santosh is a strong fit for academic, institutional, and professional audiences seeking substance rather than general commentary. He teaches Renewable Energy Investments at Boston College's Carroll School of Management and has contributed to programs and forums that bring together market participants, investors, and students around the practical realities of financing clean energy projects. His speaking topics are especially well suited to conferences, executive roundtables, graduate programs, investor forums, and moderated panels focused on renewable energy, infrastructure investing, hydrogen, tax equity, and the financing challenges of scaling complex projects. Whether participating as a speaker, moderator, or guest lecturer, he offers a clear, grounded perspective shaped by real-world transaction experience.

Recent appearances reflect the increasing demand for thoughtful discussion at the intersection of energy and finance. His presentations and panel contributions have addressed capital allocation, project complexity, policy uncertainty, hydrogen finance, and the practical question of how to make clean energy investment work at scale. Santosh enjoys each opportunity to have serious, informed dialogue on renewable energy finance.
